Diploma Programme in Private Security Management

OBJECTIVES

To acquire the knowledge required to achieve the qualification for the exercise of the Private Security Management, according to the regulations contained in the Order INT/318/2011 of 1 February on private security personnel (entry into force: 6.8 2011). Thus, the teaching activity will be conducted on the minimum subjects contained in Annex III of the said Ministerial Order and other complementary services related to the field of Private Security.

  4. Commercial contracts in Private Security.

  6. Psycho-organizational aspects.
  7. Functions of private security personnel.

  9. Protection of people.
  10. Property security.
  11. Physical and electronic security.
  12. Protection of information.
  13. Prevention of occupational hazards.
  14. Fire.
  15. Civil protection.
  16. Psycho-social aspects.
  17. Weapons.
  18. Liability of the company and its employees.
  19. Criminal responsibility.
  20. Basic legal aspects.
  21. Administrative responsibility.
  22. Professional ethics.
  23. First aid techniques.
  24. Design and planning of a comprehensive security plan.
        

AIMED AT

Private Security Professionals who aspire to obtain authorization to exercise the role of Private Security Manager, as set forth in the Order INT/318/2011 of 1 February on private security personnel.

The recognition to the Home Affairs Ministry has been applied for.

 

ADMISSION CRITERIA

  1. Experience in the field of Private Security, giving preference to those holding the title of Private Security Chief.

Minimum of 20 students - maximum of 30 students.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

FOR APPLICATION:
  •  Photocopy of your identification card:
    • Spanish students: copy of their national identity card.
    • Foreign students: copy of their passaport card or Foreign Resident Identification Card.
  • Photocopy of the title providing access to university programmes or, if appropriate, accreditation of professional experience in the field of Private Segurity.
FOR REGISTRATION:
  • The DPSC shall require supplementary documents from the students in order to guarantee the authenticity of the data providedby the student, including the notorization of the documents issued abroad.

ACADEMIC INFORMATION

Duration: 400 hours:

Teaching hours: 320.

Practical hours: 40.

Supervised project at the end of the course: 40 hours.

Teaching modality:

In-class model of instruction (40 weekends: friday afternoon and saturday morning, from 17.10.2011 to 29.6.2012).

REGISTRATION FEES

€2,300.

1st term: up to 20 October 2011.

2nd term: up to 10 December 2011.
